Nothing like Empress Nancy Pelosi continuing to get egg on her face well into 2025.
After a spectacularly bad conclusion to 2024, it seems that 2025 is further revealing that Pelosi has lost her touch in terms of understanding what the voters may want.
Frankly, she also seems to underestimate the consequences of her arbitrary demands for various high-level politicians to resign, especially when reflecting on the disastrous fallout from forcing former President Joe Biden out.
And now she may have underestimated the consequences once again for taking such a public stand against a long-term Democrat.
In 2021, multiple high-level Democrats called for New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to resign due to his alleged sexual harassment of various female staffers.
These allegations were a bit uncontroversial, to put it mildly, with some female staffers alleging that Cuomo’s use of words such as “sweetheart” or similar terminology was akin to harassment.
That’s a tad overkill.
Regardless of the limited evidence, several Democrats, who at that point were super pro-#MeToo and super pro-BLM, demanded for Cuomo to resign.
Naturally, one of the loudest voices in the room belonged to none other than Empress Pelosi.
“Recognizing his love of New York and the respect for the office he holds, I call upon the Governor to resign,” Pelosi brayed.
Former President Joe Biden also chimed in, albeit in a much more concise manner than Pelosi.
“He should resign,” Biden barked.
Quite hard to believe that all the ganging up on Cuomo took place just under four years ago, especially as more than one Democrat apparently thinks it’s a great idea for Cuomo to run as a “dark horse” candidate in 2028.
In a rather direct headline, The Hill declares “Andrew Cuomo seen as possible White House candidate by some Democrats.”
“Since their loss in November, Democrats have been anxious to find a voice not only to lead them out of the wilderness but also to stand up to President Trump and the slew of actions he’s taken in his second term. Cuomo, with his brash, in-your-face style, they say, could shape up to be a dark horse candidate in what is set to be a wide-open race,” The Hill noted.
Wow, imagine that. Perhaps Democrats should have considered that option in 2024 instead, as Cuomo certainly would have done better than Comrade Kamala.
Then again, that would require the Democrats to have a semblance of sense, especially with regards to perspectives different than their own.
They do not appear to have such sense.
Democratic strategist Jamal Simmons, however, believes that Cuomo may well be a viable alternative for the Democrats to consider, especially as they may well be (finally) backing away from their divisive DEI obsession.
“If Andrew Cuomo becomes mayor of New York, he could very well be Trump’s chief antagonist starting in 2026, which could give Democrats a voice to rally around, however imperfect a messenger he may be,” Simmons continued.
“However imperfect a messenger he may be?” Is Simmons serious?
Was he asleep the entire Biden-Harris administration? That’s about as “imperfect” as one can get, especially in such a public manner!
Another Democratic strategist hilariously focused on “purity” as well, as if Comrade Kamala had a past made of nothing but the purest white snow.
“I don’t think we’re looking for purity anymore or we shouldn’t be. We need someone who’s a strong messenger, who knows how to communicate to the public and is willing to put on the gloves and punch,” the strategist insisted.
Uh huh.
The Hill references multiple other candidates who could theoretically be in the running, including Gretchen Whitmer, Josh Shapiro, Gavin Newsom, and Wes Moore, not to mention former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and former Vice President Kamala Harris.
Naturally, all of them, in particular Buttigieg and Comrade Kamala, would be disasters in their own unique way.
Frankly, Cuomo probably would be better than any of those options … though the Democrats may well have prematurely destroyed him with their little witch hunt against him just a few short years ago.
Will Cuomo become a viable contender for 2028, despite all the ways in which the Dems screwed him before?
That possibility remains to be seen … though at the rate the current administration is winning, it will be no surprise whatsoever when the Republicans obliterate the Dems again.
