Looks like former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi achieved a doozy in more ways than one when it comes to the decided lack of transparency regarding the January 6 Select Committee.
Not only did that committee ultimately fail to prevent President Donald Trump from taking office again – which was clearly one of its intentions from the start – but it also has found itself effectively responsible for revealing former President Joe Biden’s “Autopen” approach to the presidency.
That’s right: Autopen.
Apparently, Biden issued nine preemptive pardons to all members of the January 6 Select Committee crafted by former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
These members included Democrats, such as Representative Bennie Thompson, as well as former Representative Liz Cheney, a Wyoming Republican.
Unsurprisingly, Cheney openly vowed vote to vote in favor of then-Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2025 election.
Clearly a better endorsement than an endorsement from the Diddy-affiliated Beyonce, but still nowhere near enough to overcome Trump in 2024.
Especially with an apparent “Autopen” in Chief sitting behind the desk, who apparently did not sign the orders himself.
Which also means he did not know the content of what he was signing, thereby rendering that content void.
As asserted by Trump himself.
In a scathing post on Truth Social, Trump made it abundantly clear that the likes of Cheney are not off the hook for their January 6 antics.
“The ‘Pardons’ that Sleepy Joe Biden gave to the Unselect Committee of Political Thugs, and many others, are hereby declared VOID, VACANT, AND OF NO FURTHER FORCE OR EFFECT,” Trump boomed.
And, lest the media start screeching that Trump is declaring the pardons “void” for no reason, it should have a look at the “facts” first.
“Because of the fact that they were done by Autopen,” Trump bluntly declared.
Well then. That’s significant. As Trump also details.
“In other words, Joe Biden did not sign them but, more importantly, he did not know anything about them! The necessary Pardoning Documents were not explained to, or approved by, Biden. He knew nothing about them, and the people that did may have committed a crime,” Trump continued.
Without a doubt. And, unlike Biden and Trump, those committee members are not covered by the recent Supreme Court ruling, which shields presidents from culpability for executive branch-related actions undertaken during the course of their presidency.
“Therefore, those on the Unselect Committee, who destroyed and deleted ALL evidence obtained during their [two-year] Witch Hunt of me, and many other innocent people, should fully understand that they are subject to investigation at the highest level,” Trump boomed.
Quite intriguing. Wonder if Trump will investigate them even 50 percent as intensely as they investigated him, however.
“The fact is, they were probably responsible for the Documents that were signed on their behalf without the knowledge or consent of the Worst President in the History of our Country, Crooked Joe Biden!” Trump boomed.
Or “Crooked Obama,” considering how often Obama liked to brag that Biden was “finishing” his job.
Well, Biden “finished it” all right … Right down to helping Trump win the presidential election, again, just as Obama’s last term in office did.
Much to the horror of Pelosi, who is likely on edge now.
As stated in the opening of this commentary, at least the transparency that Americans have apparently come to expect, per a report from the Committee on House Administration that was released last year … during the Biden-Harris administration.
And that report pertained to the inconvenient documentary that Pelosi’s daughter filmed – “Pelosi in the House.”
Well, rather ironically, it seems that the “Pelosi in the House” documentary got the attention of the actualHouse in 2024, as illustrated in the rather scathing report.
“House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight Chairman Barry Loudermilk (GA-11) obtained documentary footage recorded by Alexandra Pelosi on January 6, 2021 and produced to the Subcommittee by HBO. Vice-chair Liz Cheney and Chair Bennie Thompson’s J6 Select Committee had this footage but did not release it publicly and did not archive this footage at the end of the 117th Congress or hand it over when Republicans took the majority at the beginning of 2023. Therefore, the Subcommittee went directly to HBO to obtain the footage,” the report noted.
And it is soon quite clear exactly why Pelosi declined to release the footage publicly, as revealed by Loudermilk.
“As Nancy Pelosi was being evacuated from the Capitol on January 6, 2021 she admitted that, as Speaker of the House, she was responsible for the security failures, and for not having the National Guard at the Capitol. However, after the dust settled from the breach of the Capitol, she spent 20 million taxpayer dollars for her January 6 Select Committee to create a narrative that shifted the blame on President Trump,” Loudermilk asserted.
Well then. So Pelosi admitted on video that she was the one responsible for “security,” yet the security was inadequate.
Interesting.
“The Democrats’ partisan select committee went to great lengths to suppress and hide evidence that didn’t support their predetermined narrative about that day, including this video of Speaker Pelosi admitting that she was responsible for the security failures at the Capitol. My committee will continue to investigate and expose all the facts. The American people deserve the truth,” Loudermilk proclaimed.
Without a doubt.
And, in light of the GOP House report from 2024 – ironically originating from the “Pelosi in the House” documentary – it seems that the current posting on Truth Social has deeper roots than critics may claim.
What precisely will Trump do?
That remains to be seen, but provided he remains within the bounds of the law intended by Founding Fathers, he may well give Americans a lesson in historical context … starting with the context of Pelosi’s own daughter’s documentary.
