FEMA Accused Of Blocking Musk’s Aid To Desperate Hurricane Victims

While it’s bad enough when Dems and other opportunists politicize crises, it’s even worse when supposedly apolitical federal institutions politicize various disasters.

Yet that’s exactly what feckless FEMA has done with regards to the assistance Musk has attempted to provide to Hurricane Helen victims.

As reported by Blaze Media, Musk was stunned to learn that FEMA was not only inept, but also deliberately destructive, chiefly by blocking his Starlink satellites, which would foster critical communication.

“Just received this note from a SpaceX engineer helping on the ground in North Carolina,” Musk announced on X.

Musk then posted the update from his engineer, illustrating the degree to which FEMA has exacerbated the negative effects of devastating natural disasters.

“Hey Elon, update here on site of Asheville, NC. We have powered up two large operating bases for choppers to deliver goods into hands. We’ve deployed 300+ Starlinks and outpour is it has saved many lives. The big issue is FEMA is actively blocking shipments and seizing goods and services locally and locking them away to state they are their own,” the engineer wrote.

“Actively blocking shipments.” Deeply disturbing, to say the least.
“It’s very real and scary how much they have taken control to stop people helping. We are blocked now on the shipments of new Starlinks coming in until we get an escort from the fire dept. but that may not be enough,” the engineer continued.

Wow. Rather chilling, especially when considering how the government may respond to other crises.

Such as a major war, or other systemic breakdown within.

“@FEMA is not merely failing to adequately help people in trouble, but is actively blocking citizens who try to help!” Musk remarked in disbelief.

Of course, FEMA vehemently denied that they were blocking Starlink, though it’s hard to take the organization seriously following its effective “donations” to illegals, which have surpassed $1B.

Rather humorously, FEMA has finally, if grudgingly, allowed the use of Musk’s Starlink to provide much needed internet connectivity, which is precisely why the SpaceX CEO received such high praise in a well-esteemed media outlet.

“Elon Musk Rides to Biden’s Hurricane Rescue,” a Wall Street Journal reported.

Awesome title … and totally in alignment with reality.

“As Hurricane Milton wreaks destruction through central Florida, the recovery from Hurricane Helene is a long way from over in the rural Southeast. But one good news story is how Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite service has rescued cell phone and internet service in rural counties that desperately needed it,” the Wall Street Journal reported.

Yes. A travesty that FEMA was attempting to block it in the first place.

“Mr. Musk says Starlink will provide temporary free satellite service in affected areas. He’s doing so even though the FCC last December yanked an $885 million grant for Starlink to furnish high-speed internet to 640,000 rural homes and businesses – including in the very counties where FEMA is now deploying Starlink’s satellites,” the Wall Street Journal added.

In other words, even though the federal government has routinely attempted to undercut Musk, Musk still provided vital services when they were truly needed.

Assuming a Trump victory, Musk’s brilliant innovations may go even further in serving the American people.
