Gotta love it when a state allows open intravenous drug use in the streets while simultaneously pulling out all the stops to control what people eat.
Then again, since everyone has to eat, controlling the food supply chain is an excellent way for authoritarians to amplify their power.
Indeed, the streets of San Francisco becoming a cosmic joke in light of the rampant drug abuse, which has been so prolific that several businesses have permanently shut their doors.
However, lawmakers, apparently unable to propose any solutions to deal with a truly deleterious situation with regards to homelessness and drug abuse (and overdoses) alike, have apparently decided to focus on the horrors of General Mills products instead.
Indeed, Democratic assemblymember Jesse Gabriel who is apparently always eager to introduce legislation regarding what individuals can and cannot eat, is now taking aim at none other than Lucky Charms and other childhood favorites.
Indeed, Gabriel’s proposal aims for banning seven ingredients found in cereals and chips like Lucky Charms, Cap’N Crunch, and Cheetos: Blue Dye No. 1, Blue Dye No. 2, Green Dye No. 3, Red Dye No. 40, Yellow Dye No. 5, Yellow Dye No. 6, and titanium dioxide.
If the bill is passed, then schools would be pressed to begin removing food items with these ingredients as soon as 2025.
Rather hilarious … Californians are more than free to purchase an array of drugs at their leisure, but they can’t eat a bowl of Lucky Charms. Right.
Gabriel also waged war on Skittles with the California Food Safety Act, which aimed four different ingredients: potassium bromate, propylparaben, brominated vegetable oil, and red dye No. 3.
According to Gabriel and other Democrats, these ingredients make it hard for students “to learn.”
“California has a responsibility to protect our students from chemicals that harm children and that can interfere with their ability to learn,” Gabriel insisted.
Is that so? Something suggests hormonal therapy for so-called gender transitioning would be much more destruction on students’ “ability to learn,” but such obvious observations rarely emanate from Democrat lawmakers.
“As a lawmaker, a parent, and someone who struggled with ADHD, I find it unacceptable that we allow schools to serve foods with additives that are linked to cancer, hyperactivity and neurobehavioral harms,” Gabriel continued.
That hyperactivity might also be attributed to the general lack of discipline embraced by this generation’s households, wherein children may well rule the roost more often than not.
Hilariously, Gabriel claims that public schools will play a role in safeguarding children’s health, despite the obvious damage caused to students’ health through their eagerness to aid and abet hormone-driven gender transitions.
“This bill will empower schools to better protect the health and wellbeing of our kids and encourage manufacturers to stop using these dangerous additives,” Gabriel concluded.
If only Gabriel were as passionate about hormonal therapy for 12-year-olds.
Alas, Lucky Charms are an easier target.
