Dems Bizarrely Put Obama And Clinton On The Spot Over Trump

You know the Democrat Party is going crazy over multiple Trump victories when they start pressuring former presidents to join their apparent, albeit demented, “cause.”

That’s right: Apparently, a number of Democrats are ticked off that a variety of former presidents – including both Democrat and Republican presidents – has not jumped on the Trump-hating bandwagon after the inauguration.

“Former Presidents Clinton, Obama, Biden and George W. Bush have barely uttered a word about President Trump’s actions a month into his second term, to the dismay of Democratic critics who say their voices are badly needed. Those calling out for the ex-presidents to speak say Trump’s actions and the potential for him to bypass court orders should be red flags to the former occupants of the Oval Office,” The Hill detailed.

Well, why should they?

Neither Clinton nor Obama nor Bush have any official standing of any kind in the government anymore.

In fact, Clinton and Obama have remained too involved per some critics, between Clinton’s power-hungry wife, Hillary, and Obama’s apparent need to be in the spotlight at all times.

After all, Obama stole the spotlight from Biden on more than one occasion, and he was also quick to distance himself from his former running mate as well, once the media could no longer lie about the degree to which Biden’s mind had clearly deteriorated.

That said, Democrats don’t think about the negative effects of excessive involvement from former presidents in current affairs; instead, they think about their oftentimes short-sighted goals.

Democratic strategist Joel Payne is one such strategist, as he is currently ranting and raving about why it is apparently “critical” for figures like Clinton to contribute “to the public discourse.”

“No one knows more about the importance of our presidents respecting separation of powers and showing restraint than former presidents. Given Trump’s ongoing power grab, those voices and perspectives of our ex-presidents would be critical to the public discourse at this moment,” Payne ranted.

Well, Mr. Payne, Obama has already done his bit, as he did come out of hiding after Trump announced USAID cuts (well, hiding for Obama anyway).

“Congress should resist,” Obama declared, apparently angry over billions of American dollars not going into suspect projects overseas.

Oh, yeah.

That’s all America needs to hear. More lame calls to “resist.” Because that worked out so well the first time.

A former senior aide to Obama was a bit more forthright than the first DEI president, grumbling that he does not know what Clinton, Bush, and Obama are “waiting for.”

“I don’t know what they’re waiting for. The time isn’t when Trump ignores court rulings. The time is now,” the aide growled.

Funny that the Obama aide happens to bring up court rulings at this exact juncture in time. Especially as an Obama appointee just handed Trump another court victory.

Meanwhile, a former Bush aide demonstrated vastly more class, showing the enormous difference between the Democrats and Republicans.

Per Bush’s aide, it is not proper to interfere in current presidential affairs, a memo that Obama clearly failed to receive.

“It’s out of respect to the office; it’s just not his style,” the Bush aide remarked smoothly.

Now that’s a brilliant response to a virulent movement to involve varied former presidents into modern day politics.

Perhaps the Democrats should run on the “Politics of Respect” … assuming they can at least feign respect publicly.
