Buttigieg Takes Page Out Of Musk’s Book In Upcoming Battle

“Do you want to fly in an airplane where they prioritized DEI hiring over your safety? That is actually happening.”

So queried Elon Musk after he learned that Boeing had apparently decided to prioritize militant diversity over basic safety.

Apparently, that same inquiry is one that none other than Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is apparently wondering about as well.

As evidenced by Buttigieg’s recent saber rattling against Boeing during one of his many mainstream media appearances.

Who knew that Buttigieg and Musk would inadvertently see eye to eye on a major issue with a diversity-obsessed company?

Recently, Musk made headlines for pointing out the frighteningly dangerous path upon which Boeing has embarked, especially given its apparent emphasis of diversity over safety.

As the company manufactures airline jets, that’s a real problem. Especially as Boeing does not exactly have an abundance of competitors.

Which is precisely why Musk decided to draw attention to the company’s truly dangerous, concerning, hiring practices.

Weeks later, Buttigieg himself was clamoring about the challenges of safety at Boeing, claiming that the company would soon find itself under federal investigation for varied safety issues.

Per Buttigieg, maintaining airline safety entails “an enormous amount of rigor in dealing with Boeing, in dealing with any regulatory issue.”

“And that’s exactly what the FAA is doing,” Buttigieg added forcefully.

Is that so? It’s a shame the FAA wasn’t doing that from the start, but apparently Buttigieg was too busy pushing electric vehicles while hobnobbing in European vineyards to actually do something of real value when he first assumed his position.

Is it any wonder that a number of transportation-oriented companies have fallen apart under his alleged leadership?

For instance, Boeing claims that it cannot find the records of work performed on the door panel that failed, which is rather odd, to say the least.

Indeed, Fortune noted was “an unusual acknowledgment in an industry that places a significant emphasis on documentation.”

This acknowledgement is also precisely why Musk’s especially irritated response towards DEI is well warranted, even if it may sound extreme.

“It will take an airplane crashing and killing hundreds of people for them to change this crazy policy of DIE,” Musk remarked in disgust.

That’s exactly right. After all, what type of manager fails to keep records at Boeing regarding critical parts replacements?

Probably some activist manager on social media, most likely.

With any luck, Buttigieg’s miraculous recognition of the validity of Musk’s observations will persist, thereby preventing a potential aviation catastrophe in the future.

Then again, whether or not a real investigation of Boeing will occur remains to be seen … after all, Buttigieg’s specialty is preening for the media, rather than implementing strategic action.
