“My number one job is to keep Angelenos safe. The only way to do that is to hold people who commit crimes accountable and to take real steps to prevent crime from happening in the first place.”
While it may sound good, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass might want to rethink that official statement for more than one reason.
First off, it’s pretty clear that DEI trumped the importance of all individuals’ safety … as evidenced by the ghastly fallout from the wildfire tragedy.
Secondly, if Bass is really so concerned about safety, perhaps she shouldn’t appoint people that apparently call in bomb threats to City Hall for reasons that remain unknown.
That’s right: Brian Williams, a close associate of the Los Angeles mayor, stands accused of calling in a bomb threat.
To City Hall, of all places, another government building.
That’s nice.
Perhaps calling in a bomb threat is a form of “reparations” of some kind, especially after Governor Gruesome (otherwise known as Governor Newsom) rescinded his grand reparations plans.
Appointed to serve as Deputy Mayor of Public Safety in 2023 by his fellow DEI comrade – Bass – Brian Williams is, rather frighteningly, in charge of an array of different emergency services.
“[Williams’s] role is to oversee the Los Angeles Police Department, the Los Angeles Fire Department, the Port of Los Angeles Police, the Los Angeles World Airport Police and the Emergency Management Department. He is also responsible for advancing prevention and intervention strategies, according to the mayor’s office,” CBS News reported.
That’s nice. As he’s advanced his own strategies, all right. Strategies that apparently involve calling in bomb threats to City Hall.
Since the bomb threat, which occurred in Fall 2024, the LAPD identified Williams as the “likely” source of the bomb threats in an official statement.
“Our initial investigation revealed that the source of the threat was likely from Brian Williams, Deputy Mayor for Public Safety,” the LAPD announced.
Of course, the LAPD is also corrupted by the DEI public officials in charge, which means that the case has now been escalated to the FBI.
“Due to the Department’s working relationship with Mr. Williams, the investigation was referred to the FBI. The FBI remains the investigating agency,” the LAPD detailed.
Naturally, the DEI appointee is adamantly denying that he would call in a bomb threat, despite the fact that even the LAPD admitted he probably did so.
Not that Williams’s attorney, Dmitry Gorin, follows that line of logic.
“Importantly, [Williams] has not been arrested, nor charged, and will continue cooperating with the investigation through his attorneys,” Gorin asserted.
No kidding. As if any DEI public official will be charged with anything until the evidence is absolutely airtight.
“He has a lengthy career of public service and is presumed innocent of these allegations,” Gorin added pointedly.
Is that so? As Pelosi, Biden, Clinton, and so forth have also had “a lengthy career of public service” as well … though the concept of “public service” is clearly limited.
And if Williams is so “innocent,” it’s rather odd that the mayor, who appointed Williams in the first place, is not exactly rushing to his defense.
Indeed, the office of the Los Angeles mayor was quick to put out an official response, distancing Bass from the deranged “bomb threat” antics of her own DEI appointee.
“The mayor takes this matter very seriously. When the threat was reported, LAPD investigated and determined there was no immediate danger. Following additional investigation, LAPD referred this matter to the FBI for further investigation,” Bass’s office declared.
Right.
And, for added insurance, Bass flew to Ghana while Los Angeles literally was, and still is, burning.
Perhaps she was recruiting more “newcomers” for 2028 … or perhaps she was simply avoiding the consequences of her own questionable appointments.
In either situation, if all these developments have not turned California at least purple, rather than its longstanding deep blue, then perhaps nothing will.
